| This piece is comprised of a handmade, handpainted artist's book, entitled 'Bluebook', and 50 b/w photocopies onto grey paper, entitled 'Greymatter' placed in a brown box in two separate A4 sized spaces. 'Bluebook' is a narrative of sorts, blending images collected over two years of bereavement following the death of a close friend, and sorting them into combinations that evoke and represent the emotions, anxieties and feelings of that time. 'Greymatter' presents a series of images, many of which are present in the Bluebook, but presented each on their own page, as units. These are typically photocopies of origami, or works from Art History. The result is an image of my mind over the two year period of a bereavement. |
