Responsibilities - Maintaining service and equipment for the department, as well as providing training in applications and best practice to students and staff. Liase with Network Administrator over internet and security issues. Keeping machines free of virus and security threats, and running well in an intense 'always on' environment.

Responsibilities - Providing technical assistance and application training to artists attending the Exercises in Folkatronica Multimedia Residency, with particular emphasis on training in Professional Video Editing and Dvd Authoring procedures.

Computer Skills

I am fully literate in the use of both PC's and Apple Macintosh computers. As well as being literate in a broad range of Office and Graphic-Design software packages. I have instructed others in the use of Word-Processing, Desktop Publishing, Digital Imaging, Webdesign, Video Editing, Dvd Authoring, Vector Animation and Digital Special Effects software.

I have fixed broken computers, built computers from scratch, up-graded and 'modified' computers for increased performance and am generally as comfortable with the hardware as I am with the software of a computer. I have designed a number of Websites, and maintain my own website at www.niallflaherty.com from which links to my other websites may be found.

I am most proficient in the use of the following packages:
