About Me
Niall Flaherty is a Galway-born artist and teacher, working in Dublin, Ireland. In 2005 he formed the Blackletter Artists Group with Cliona Harmey and Alan Butler. He has taught art at 2nd and 3rd level, having lectured for NCAD and DIT in drawing, photography, video, new- media and sculpture.
Niall had the first solo show of his work in 2009 at Monstertruck Gallery, Francis Street, Dublin, where he has also curated a number of shows. Recently Niall started Artist-makers Online to enable artists and creative groups to develop their web-presence.
Niall currently teaches modules in Creating and Publishing Digital Media and Information Design for The School of Information and Library Studies, UCD. He also teaches in NCAD where he currently works on the Part-time Diploma in Art & Design and Drawing & Visual Investigation courses.
